The film is set in present times. In the suburbs of the city a 7 years old child disappears. After a month of ineffective searches boy’s older sister decides to take the deal over. She is confident that she knows who kidnapped her brother. Despair, guiltiness and powerlessness – is that enough to justify a terrible revenge?
About the director:
Volodymyr Tykhyy born in 1970. In 1993, started directing commercials. In 90s made few short movies. One of them, “Mermaid”, participated in more than 80 international festivals. Directed TV shows, films and TV series. In 2000 debuted with a feature “Car washers”, which international premiere took place at Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. Initiated and coproduced short films anthologies “Assholes. Arabesques” and “Ukraine Goodbye” as well as directed several shorts from them. Those almanacs became a phenomenon known as “Angry Ukrainians” - a new wave of contemporary Ukrainian filmmaking - and received several awards at the film festivals all over the world, among others - Silver Leopard at Locarno IFF.
