„The Archipelago“ is a penetrating portrait of a family living in solitude in an inhospitable world. An intimate chronicle on the rhythms of daily life, the film transforms the quotidian and opens a window onto unexpected beauty.

About the director:

Gustavo Beck was born in 1982 in São Paulo, Brazil. He earned a degree in Cinema and Film Studies from the Escuela Internacional de Cine y Television, Cuba. He also holds a BA in Philosophy from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro and a MBA in Film and Television Business from the Fundação Getúlio Vargas, Rio de Janeiro. In 2008 he founded the production company „If You Hold A Stone“.
