Outrageously sexual sets and choreography are stunning backdrops for the Toronto-born, Berlin-based techno-punk songstress Peaches who wrote, directed and starred in this transgressive 'anti-jukebox' rock opera. A collaboration with Berlin’s cutting-edge Hebbel am Ufer Theater, this is the loosely biographical tale of a young woman who, inspired by a 65-year-old stripper, begins to make sexually forthright music. Bursting with nudity, sexy attributes, pink underwear, and shocking cameos by stripper Sandy Kane and transsexual porn star Danni Daniels, “Peaches Does Herself“ brings the star’s unique brand of post-feminist, shock-rock cabaret to shameless cinematic life.

About the director:

Peaches is an iconic musician and performance artist. Known for her genderbending provocations, she has inspired and shaped the mainstream into a more inclusive and sexually progressive surrounding. Over the years, she has built a reputation on her suggestive and intelligent lyrics, her amalgamation of rock and electro sounds, and her high-energy performances, continuing to outdo herself with each brash step. Peaches has released four albums to date. “Peaches Does Herself“ is her first feature film.
