Georgia, Germany, France, Drama, 2013, 102 min, georgian with english and lithuanian subtitles, N-13

It is early nineties, in Tbilisi, the capital of the newly independent Georgia after the collapse of the Soviet Union. For Eka (Lika Babluani) and Natia (Mariam Bokeria), fourteen years old inseparable friends, life just unfolds. Although they are already dealing with men’s dominance, early marriage and disillusioned love, for these two girls in bloom life just goes on. Though if one lives in a country steeped in chaos and anarchy, where lynch laws are prosecuted every day, can killing for love be justified? In such cases, whom do you look up to? What values can help you to survive? In the film, there is an astonishing sense of autobiography of the directors, aspects of a disturbing, complicated reality of the post – soviet Georgia, inimitable Oleg Mutu’s cinematography and remarkable performance of the young actors.
