• The Audience Award of Kaunas International Film Festival goes to Lithuanian film “Narcissus“
    The audience of Kaunas International Film Festival voted for the films during the period of the festival and the winner was “Narcissus“ - the first feature-length work of the Lithuanian filmmaker Dovilė Gasiūnaitė. The second place went to the documentary “Bill Cunningham New York“ directed by Richard Press, while the film of Stefan Schwietert “Balkan Melody“ took the third place.
  • Ursula Meier's “Sister“ to open the sixth Kaunas International Film Festival
    Ursula Meier's film “Sister“ (fr. “L'enfant d'en haut“, 2012) will open the sixth Kaunas International Film Festival with Ursula Meier's participation. The award-winning film “Sister“ depicts a story of a twelve-year-old boy and his restless elder sister who live near a luxurious skiing resort at the foot of a mountain. The film will have its Lithuanian premiere on the 26th of September in Kaunas.

The drama directed by Asghar Farhadi was introduced to Lithuanian audience at Kaunas IFF festival last autumn and will be screened at “Skalvija“ Cinema Centre in Vilnius from the 17th of August.
