Kuky se vrací
Director: Jan Svěrák

Czech Republic, Animation, 2010, 95 min, lithuanian
Asthmatic, six-year-old Ondra (Ondřej Svěrák) is forced to throw away his scruffy, sawdust-stuffed old teddy bear, Kooky. That night he prays for the safe return of his furry friend. Soon afterwards, Ondra starts dreaming, that somewhere across town, Kooky is about to be crushed in a rubbish dump when he suddenly comes to life, making his escape into a mysterious forest. It is full of strange creatures Kooky had never dreamed of when at home in Ondra's bed. The naïve, cuddly teddy bear needs help to survive amongst the rough-and-ready creatures of the forest and he finds it when he meets the crotchety forest guardian Goddamn. He is in charge of watching over the forest, but he has his enemies too – the malevolent Nuschka plans to take over the forest, by proving that the short-sighted but good-hearted Goddamn is not up to the job of guardian. So Kooky begins his adventurous journey home... Using puppetry and live action,“Kookyˮ, directed by the famous czech master of comedy Jan Svěrák, is an inventive, thrilling family tale about the power of imagination.
